Christmas is almost here and we can’t wait to celebrate. Most of us have already put up the decorations and we are enjoying our own cup of SARISTI tea by the Christmas tree. You know what’s missing, right? Freshly baked, Christmas cookies straight from the oven. You can also light a scented candle of our collection and watch your childhood memories come back to life.

We gathered some of our favorite easy-peasy recipes for Christmas cookies, each inspired by one of our SARISTI blends.

Vitality – Cinnamon cookies

Ingredients:

250 gr. all-purpose flour

1/2 tbsp. baking powder

1 tbsp. cinnamon

1 egg, at room temperature

100 gr. butter at room temperature

150 gr. Brown sugar

1 tbsp. vanilla powder or extract

1 pinch of salt

Process:

Preheat the oven to 180o C. Sift the flour. In a bowl, add all the solid ingredients, except sugar. Stir gently. In the mixer bowl, add the soft butter in pieces, together with the sugar, and beat them until they become fluffy. Add the egg and blend the mixture with a spatula. Then slowly add the mixture of solids. Shape into balls, press them a little and if you want, dip them in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon, before putting them on the baking paper. Bake carefully with the side that we dipped upwards, for 12-15 minutes. Enjoy them when they cool down a bit, with a cup of Vitality!

Hangover- Gingerbread Cookies

Materials:

400 gr. flour for all uses

130 gr. butter at room temperature

1 large egg at room temperature

100 gr. Brown sugar

100 gr. honey

1 tbsp. cinnamon

2 tbsp. ginger powder

1/2 tbsp. nutmeg powder

2/4 kg clove powder

2/4 kg baking soda

1 pinch of salt

Process:

Sift the flour. In a bowl add all the solid ingredients except the sugar. Stir gently. In the bowl of the mixer, add the soft butter in pieces, together with the sugar and beat them until fluffy. Add the egg and honey to the mixture and as soon as they are well mixed, add the solids slowly, kneading slowly by hand. We wrap the dough well in baking paper and leave it in the fridge for an hour. Preheat the oven to 180o C in air. We take our dough out of the fridge and open it with a rolling pin so that it becomes around 2 cm thick. Use Christmas cookie cutters of any shape, cut your cookies and place them in the pan which is covered by baking paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes, remove from the oven and let cool for at least half an hour to make them crispier.

These cookies are best served with a cup of our SARISTI Hangover.
